Biennial update

Keeps your USDOT number active. Due every two years, or within 30 days of any change to your company data.

Who needs it: Every entity with a USDOT number, even if nothing changed and even if you stopped operating.
When: Every 24 months in the month set by your USDOT number, and within 30 days after a change of address, fleet size, drivers, cargo or operation.
What we need from you: Your USDOT number and PIN, or we request a new PIN with you. Current address, number of trucks and drivers, and cargo.
If you skip it: FMCSA deactivates the USDOT number and can fine up to $1,000 per day, capped at $10,000.
